Marienplatz.

Wednesday 29th August 2012

This morning we went shopping for diaries & dictionaries at Galeria Kaufhof at Kaufingerstraße in Marienplatz. I bought a July 2012- December 2013 diary, and vocabulary book for recording new words and a book called Die Staaten der Erde. We then went round the corner to Hugendubel a famous bookshop where I purchased copies of Marketing für Dummies, Visuelles Wörterbuch Türkisch-Deutsch and another Visuelles Wörterbuch Arabisch-Deutsch. This did set me back quite a few Euros but I judge it to be a worthy investment (whatever the criteria for “worthy” is).

We then proceeded to LMU Universität Ludwigstraße to finally anmelden but it turns out this is not possible at the Studentenkanzlerei instead we had to go to the Referat für Internationale Angelegenheiten or ERASMUS office. This was located on the first floor of Ludwigstr. 27 building and up a spiral staircase we found that this was only open from 10:00-12:00. Again it has been put off to tomorrow but we are confident it will finally be achieved tomorrow.

Nath had a staff social evening so I stayed in and had a crack at Marketing für Dummies, but it turns out I might not yet be a fully qualified “Dummy” although I’m not sure there is a lower tier.
